Hope all is well on this cold December morning and I hope you had a fantastic Christmas Day! Today, Boxing Day, it has certainly got colder, you just don’t think about this cold weather living here in Spain, or we certainly didn’t!
We have a really busy few weeks and had some exceptionally long days indeed! We have been out working every day for what seem months with no time off. It’s strange how we have so much business at the moment in what should be a relatively ‘quiet month’! not complaining though, its great to be so busy meeting new people and visiting new areas.
It has been a bit difficult buying Christmas presents for Phil with us being out every day but fortunately I got some time on Christmas eve!
When we arrived in Spain and was living in La Mata, Phil bought an electric scooter and guess what he bought me for Christmas… an electric scooter! It’s not as big or as fast as his which is great. We plan to throw them both in the back of the car on a Sunday and have a drive out somewhere new each week… we can get the scooters out and go exploring! Got some Samsung Buds also… so much better that using cabled earplugs – least I cannot strangle myself now with the wire!
We are finding out how chilly it here in December in the villa, not what I was expecting, and the fluffy bed sets are now well and truly out! So glad we brought them with us. I even bough a hot water bottle recently plus another heater for the bedroom!
Hey, a question; is there anywhere where we can but a good size leg of lamb? Any in the main supermarkets look like they are tiny and thin…. We want a good chunky one from somewhere – if you know of anywhere please let me know, it would be very appreciated.
Our Christmas Lunch consisted of enough food to feed 10! Phil does not really have a grasp on portion control, think we will be eating meat and veg for days to come! Was really lovely though... finished off with Chocolate Cake and of course, Cadbury’s Celebrations! Made real pigs of ourselves!
As you may have read in previous blogs, we should have been back in the UK over Christmas but with the self-isolation for 14 days and no family mixing it was pointless plus, all the added business we took! Hopefully, we are going to plan a trip back in the first quarter of 2021 depending on the UK and Spain’s COVID rules and guidance.
So again, I will wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, have fun and stay safe, may 2021 bring good luck and happiness for everyone and we may all see our loved ones soon.
